SIX SIGMA TRAINING AND CERTIFICATION
Six sigma is a data driven approach and a methodology to eliminate defects from a process – It may be a manufacturing process or a service process. It was introduced by Bill Smith & Mikel J Harry while working at Motorola in 1986. Jack Welch launches it central to his business strategy at General Electric in 1995. Six sigma identify and remove the causes of defects and minimize variability in manufacturing and business processes and thus improve the quality of the process.
A six sigma certificate is becoming an expectation in today’s business world. Six Sigma trains individual to stop what they are doing, examine how well they have done it and then implement improvements to iron out defects. Six sigma directs people to continually evaluate critical process in order to meet their goals.
Six Sigma is also known as a problem solving methodology that offers a five step plan which offers organizations a road-map to follow so that issues that an organization is facing can be resolved using a structured methodology. Six Sigma certification comes in various skill level.
- Six Sigma Yellow Belt
- Six Sigma Green Belt
- Six Sigma Black Belt
The six sigma training and certification equip participants on the basics of Define, Measure, Analyse, Improve & Control (DMAIC) and problem solving processes. You will also have a good introduction to six sigma and be able to contribute to Six Sigma Projects.
At the end of the training, participants will write an online proctored exam after which they will be designated CERTIFIED SIX SIGMA YELLOW BELT PROFESSIONAL.
Participants receive an introduction to the tools and methods that are necessary to successfully participate in Problem Solving and DMAIC improvement projects in a manufacturing or transactional environment. It is a 2 weekend (Saturdays & Sundays) or 4 weekdays scheduled training. All trainings also include access to comprehensive online videos.
